The sadness continues at House of Sakorn for the poor little puppies being churned out by the puppy miller.

Not only is sterling fatter on the wealth of blinded buyers of his abused, poor quality dogs, shipped with illegal papers through intimidated Thai Cargo channels, he is arrogant enough to think he can just carry on with his evil ways just down the road in his next makeshift place.

Makeshift ? Yep, he hasn't been there 2 minutes & he is on the move again.

More fan mail for Jack Sterling

Reading Sterlings site has made me wonder why he has no old dogs.

We have 5 dogs and 2 are teenagers, now 13 and nearly 15, we bought with us from Canada just over a year ago. The other 2 are rescues and seem to be about 6 or 7 and the last is just a few months old.

I am no expert but as he has so many dogs and is always trying to get people to rescue his left over part litters, I wonder where the old ones went to?

Perhaps Sterling is the only one who can answer that. I don't suppose he will and perhaps the truth would not be what we hear from him anyway. We can only guess where they are and what has become of them but it probably would not make good bedtime reading.

He likes to believe he is the worlds most famous breeder of Thai Ridgeback dogs but there is a world of difference between fame and infamy.

Even though we haven't been blogging since August, there are still over 60 hits a day in the last month and with the world now waking up to puppy miller operations and their horrible cruelty to the adults and pups, the hits to this site will only increase.

It seems that Jack Sterling has caught the attention of Oprah Winfrey and the disgusting methods that puppy millers use, was highlighted to the world by her excellent program.

Jack Sterling sadly is still alive. Even more sadly many of the puppies he has forced into this world are no longer with us.

It is a fact, the miller breeds too many, cannot afford to keep them and then kills or dumps them like garbage.

Jack Sterling, you have not changed your ways in the year this blog has been reporting your shoddy operation. You are still churning out excessive amounts of pups and there are already too many dogs at your farm that should be released from their imprisonment and you should retire while you still can.

You never know who you upset by constantly bad mouthing Thai people and then showing your true 2 faced evil personality by smooth talking about how wonderful you think Thai people are in the next breath. Breath... you might not have too much of that for much longer.

ARTHUR — In the corner of one pen at the Macon County Animal Control and Care Center, at least half a dozen tiny puppies huddled fearfully together in a pile, as far away from the door as possible.

Shelter manager Teresa Weybright pointed out the puppies, saying it is likely they cower because they’ve never been touched by humans. They have instead lived their short lives in wire cages stacked three high, and barely large enough for a full-size canine to move or stand.

At least two dogs were found dead in the cages.

They are a fraction of 55 dogs seized from an alleged puppy mill in rural Arthur early Friday morning after a week-long investigation carried out by Weybright and other members of Macon and Douglas county animal control agencies and the Humane Society of the United States.

Sad, fat Jack is up to his old tricks again!

Posting on his ATRA site, desperate to fill it with whatever he can, he posts and withdraws a few hours later. He does this over and over again without permission from anyone involved or regard of any consequences.

Firstly the 'great' article written by a local lady around a year ago.

It seems from the way the article was written she was trying to help place his unwanted stock of low quality, nervous dogs and had been taken in by Jack and his wild exaggerations. Check your facts, Jo !

We checked back-dated issues only to find it was never accepted for publication. We speculate that Jack's reputation made him a poor candidate for help.

Really Jack, we always find you out sooner or later. I bet Jo Baggaley does not know about this - YET !

He never learns.

Secondly, a really pathetic attempt to deceive in one of his 'claim to fame' e mails.
On his former excuse for a website he drones on about selling a dog to Nick Cage as a pet for the famous actors son. May or may not be true, who cares.

He has now made up an e mail which gives the impression that he has received it from Cage recently. It mentions the horrible blog and gives the name of the dog, Ling and is signed 'Nick'. Just not at all convincing,- even to a four year old. I wonder if it still on the site or has it been whisked away?

Anyway, Jack you brightened up our day again. Yesterday was wet and grey until we checked the site. Then you brought a little light and a lot of laughter to us all.

Thanks for that but have you seen how the price of even your cheap rubbish dog food has gone up again?

Jack is not dead yet.

He is busy trying to leave a lasting image of a fat, angry and hateful old man in the memories of anyone he meets.

He was seen in his No1 Market recently, the place where he is considering dumping a few of his unwanted dogs, at least there they will get food and socialisation.

Thought id share a bit about the run-in Oum and I had with Jack Sterling at the market today(28/7/08). In a nutshell it consisted of typical jackass behavior: a lot of yelling, obscenities, threats and the like. Its funny how everything this guy spews out about the people he dislikes or doesnt agree with, which is just about everyone, are a dead on description of his own actions and character! Anyhow, the encounter didnt go any further than that as Oum and i simply left the scene leaving the jackass behind screaming.

Maybe youre wondering why Jack Sterling is so angry with Oum and I ? Well its simple and obvious to most. The version that Jack likes to tell is that I am a lying cheating scumbag etc. that stoled his "girlfriend" (the bitch whore cunt etc

In reality I did nothing to Jack to deserve those labels and Oum was not his girlfriend(he even said this to me in plain english: "she is not my girlfriend", and even went as far as asking me how anyone could be interested in a "fat slob" like that?). Jack is angry because I didnt help him to continue taking advantage of people, particularly Oum who he manipulated and cornered into being the sole caretaker of 80+ dogs. Oum was the life blood of Jack sterlings puppy mill operation in the sense that while she was there she did all she could to care for the dogs.

I know this because I was there for an entire month helping her care for the dogs and when I left so did Oum. Soon after our departure Jacks dogs were all sick, starving, or dying. People started to take notice and thats when this blog started.

Unfortunately Jack has many different 'faces' and most of them unattractive.Once the initial facade slips his true character is revealed. You are seeing him in 'begging for help' mode.

The aim of the blog is both to highlight his bad 'breeding' practices and his total lack of any concept of the way most of us behave towards each other and to animals in our care. He is uncaring towards his dogs. Did you know that many dogs at the Farm have bought from other dealers and breeders to order.

The talk of the careful and controlled breeding of these lovely dogs is not and never has been true. There have, we understand, been instances involving humane societies in USA BEFORE HE CAME HERE. We have information from people in America about Jack, who are still only willing to reveal their experiences to us on condition of absolute anonymity because of his aggressive behaviour towards them in the past.

His big complaint is that a Thai female, who lived with him for 3 years, allowed the dogs to breed when Jack was out of Thailand. He refuses to acknowledge responsibility for anything which goes wrong. These 11 litters were born during the last months of 2007 and the early months of this year. Several died of neglect (pneumonia and insufficient food and care) in their first weeks of life and were the focus of the cruelty case for which Jack was fined. Most of these young dogs are no longer there.

The 50 plus animals he is trying to re-home are much older than these puppies. Clearly, the situation has been going on for a long time. In the past he allowed indiscriminate breeding in the hope of producing one or two good quality pups and selling the remainder as best he could.

Sterling breeds to make his living. We have said before that we do not have a problem with dog breeders as such but his dogs are merely commodities to be bought and sold.

It is very sad and we do not like these magnificent animals to be caged day in day out, without anything but the most basic needs. Poor food, no socialization and not even a piece of rag to lie on and to cover the hard plastic and metal 'beds' . They are briefly released for a short time when he hoses out the steel pens which are their world and then they are quickly returned to their cells.

Workers will not stay with him for more than a few weeks, as his personality is so loud and aggressive both to them and to the animals.

If you are able to help Sterling in his efforts to re-home his dogs, then please do so. If we thought people were finding a place in their hearts and homes for the prisoners then we would feel that the blog had served its purpose.

Saying this, it is a situation in which Sterling has found himself before and, in his attempt to make a living through indiscriminate breeding, will find himself again before very long.

I have just found out why Mr ' Miller' is keeping such a low profile.
His workers have gone !

'Early to bed, early to rise, Makes a man healthy, wealthy and
wise.... but not in Jack's case. It is killing him.

All his 'friends' at the market told one of us that he's 'Home Alone'
once more. The last 2 could not stand the shameful shouting and left.
They didn't last long.

Once more, we are grateful for our Thai friends at the market to keep
us up to date with the antics down on the farm.

The not so humorous side to this is that the poor dogs will get even
less attention and exercise than usual, not to mention little food and
poor quality at that. All those puppies living day in day out in their
cages, no socialization during the most important time of their lives.
What the lack of socialization means is that they are even harder to
rescue and re-home.

But then, as we've said before they are just
commodities to Jack the Miller.

News just in from another local resident who is currently enjoying the silence.

When Farmer Jack is quiet it's serious. No childish jokes on ATRA and no exciting tales of grass cutting. Even the shouting around the mill is less these days. We haven't seen him out much recently and so we've been putting in a few extra hours on surveillance lately.

We didn't have to wait long before he was at his local pet store. He was looking old, fatter than ever and tired. Strange to find him there because he's always buying the dog' food', if you can call it that, elsewhere. We know he's in the local cash and carry buying their cheapest kibble so that he can go to Duke's Steakhouse for a ribs or steak dinner.

We know exactly what he feeds is really so low grade that even the hard-up rescue groups refuse to buy it.

We see him at night taking away the empty blue and white bags and dumping them well away from his house. Illegal here, so who shall we tell ? Who shall we show the video footage to?

So why was he in the pet store? He was not in long and came out empty handed. He looked in a bad mood and stomped back to his hill billy truck. Looks like he didn't get the result he'd hoped for. This must go unanswered for now but keep an eye on the blog for further revelations because we always find out what he's up to in the end....

Thanks for giving us all such a good laugh on a very dull day. You really have brightened things up for us.

Always something new from you, 'wife', 'shows' and even writing a book now. Good try. The email we received and posted recently mentioned that you never go to shows but suddenly you do. Strange nobody sees you there! Once seen never forgotten.

The wife, does she know she's your wife? We think it's another giant leap for Jack-kind into the family life mode. It's another Thai lady! How come this one will be different? You loose your temper and say such bad things about the Thai people but very quickly another local 'lady' moves in.Sadly, once they leave they chatter all around the place about you. They tell what they've seen and heard at your place. It's all believable, unfortunately for you. Perhaps this one will be different from all the rest and you'll be happy ever after. I really doubt it. Never was a great success for you was it? You can't sustain a normal relationship for any length of time, and it's always the womens fault.

Anyway, it really doesn't matter but with such a vivid imagination we can't wait for your book to be published ! We really think it will be a best seller and make millions for you, - NOT !

Still trying to get rid of the old stock? Still breeding more and more 3rd rate dogs ? Had many takers? NOT !

Anyway, that's all from us except to say that we noticed a slight error in one of your last thrilling ATRA postings. It is not a case of one man or woman against you in Chiang Mai. We are 11 residents and almost as many part time residents. We love to read and hear all about you and watch you unseen as you try to keep up this shabby existence. Even here it is becoming more and more expensive to live. You must be having a hard time keeping pace with all the rising costs. Those dogs of yours will soon be skin and bone again.

Another claim to fame - Jack Sterling Chiang Mai

Here he goes again. A well-known person that Jack happened to have been near to twice in his life dies. Suddenly, he was a close friend of Jacks ! What do I mean? Look at ATRA site's latest claim to fame.

Any chance meeting, even though it was in a crowd or a case of being in the same building at the same time, makes a famous person 'Jacks friend'.

How sad is this? A lonely old man nearing the end of his worthless, non-productive life trying to get respect and attention wherever he can.

The one thing he nearly got right was getting the Thai Ridgeback breed known overseas. Jack writes the story like the Thai people had not done anything about breeding and seem really not to have noticed them ! Laziness, arrogance, greed, ignorance and no knowledge of dog behavior is why he never really made it. These days he can't even give them away.If he did he would just increase his production line and be in the same state again in a year or so.

Any half-descend breeder goes to shows, interacts with other breeders in the area and learns from the experience. No photos to show of anything like that from Sterling. Not good ol' Papa Jack, he's been out of the ring so long he's not 'Yesterday's man' he's 'FORGOTTEN MAN'.In Jack's case they ban him from sites and membership of breed clubs. His loud and slandering responses to anyone who disagrees with him are more than decent people will stand. Result, he's all alone.

Sadly, another thing that this latest nonsense draws attention to is the recent postings on his ATRA site. So many people are described as 'my friend' or' My Thai friends'. He has repeated his usual trick of calling people who he has just met ' my friend'. He's so quick with the camera. That's not how it works Jack. Just because they speak and smile it does not make them your friend. Frankly, you disgust most people, especially Thai's.

The Animal Welfare photos are quite convincing at face value. Anyone living in Thailand knows how low standards of puppy mills are. Jack shows some smiling Thai officers but Thais are known world wide for their constant smiles. True the men went to Jack's but there is only his word about why they went and what they found. A small amount of money will produce a very favorable reaction over here. Say no more...Let's see a report in Thai, Jack.

Another thing is he has no website to speak of. He posts silly jokes on ATRA because he has no interaction with the dog world. We don't care about who cuts your grass. Don't good breeders have a pedigree line after so many years in their breed? Millers don't...their dogs are just commodities.

Don't insult us by writing your rubbish about how great you are. You live a shocking life. No wonder you are all alone.

Jack Sterling Pleads Guilty to Cruelty Charge

The picture below is a typed up report from the original hand written report (which I have a copy of but makes terrible reading) made at Hang Dong Police Station, Chiang Mai, Thailand. (Edit- The 'typed up' version is from the Police, as their hand written report sheet, note book style, is hard for even Thai readers to read - similar to doctors handwriting. Jack, the Police say, was give a copy of this report, which he signed for.)

Written in Thai, the police report states that on 26 December 2007, Jack Sterling was accused of causing cruelty to a puppy, which resulted in the puppy dying. An investigation followed and he was declared guilty.

The maximum fine in Thailand for this offense is 1,000 baht (approx US$30) and on the 16 January 2008, Jack is recorded as pleading guilty to the charge and paying the fine.

The 3rd paragraph sets out the options available to Sterling in the event of this offense reoccurring. Jail!

So there we have it, the man who has managed to wriggle free from criminal charges for so long finally has one in the public domain.

This is not a parking ticket, let alone an assault on another person charge. This is a conviction against him for causing a puppy to die through cruelty.

Despite this blog not posting every day, there are still plenty of people reading it. And how wonderful it is to see that the majority are new faces. Welcome to you all, this site is the real truth about House of Sakorn.

It pays to read the pages on this site before thinking about buying a $2,500 dog from Jack Sterling and taking it back to the states. (ps Jack, they said your house was filthy!)

There are other breeders in Chiang Mai, other locations in Thailand, let alone in the rest of the world, who are far more open and honest, clean and healthy, let alone good to do business with.

Last September, I asked a few local people to help me place several dogs......

What a mistake that was..
Instead of helping me find new homes for all these "leftover" TRD, these "vipers" just went all out and attacked me in every possible way.. From slandering me in a phony newspaper story to filing a false police report telling the local police I had been abusive to a dying pup which was just totally false and that I would kill my pups by drowning them, gassing them, hanging them and freezing them, just to be rid of the ones I did not want.

This was all just totally insane.

All of this was made of stories that were created to discredit me in the eyes of all who had any interest in buyong a TRD from me.

All these people want is to see me fail in the TRD breed and try to prove I am a cruel and brutal man killing off any puppy or dog that suits me.

Now, I find all of this quite odd as almost a year later I am still feeding and caring for most of the same dogs while none of these so call rescue people have done a thing to help me at all. One Brit lady took two dogs and also gave two more FAWN TRD females that I had gave her to a local rescue group who finally gave them to some American chap, but refuses to tell me who and where my dogs have ended up. I just do not understand these people.

Why do they all attack me??

Only about 3-4 of these people have actually been to my home and none of them are saying anything about their visits. The people who do voice a opinion about my home have all been quite positive and have supported me with their own true stories. Those people who slander the most have never been here and have never even seen my kennel or met my TRD. I find them all quite strange.

I just do not get all the nasty, vicious, and dishonest behavior from all these people who do not even know me??

These cowards will not ID themselves and just hide behind their computers. I just will continue feeding all the dogs the best that I can and try to find as many homes as I can..

As for all of you people who continue to slander and lie about me.. try looking down deep into your hearts and ask yourselves why you are so filled with hate..

But I have been to your home, been to your dirty, crowded factory when you were not bothered to care as you should. How would I know the truth about you otherwise?

To name myself here would be suicide. Your previous record for shaking a hand and ripping off the arm is well recorded and to think that you are on my doorstep fills me with horror as you would not want to let a simple discussion rest at that.

Jack Sterling, you need to admit that what has been written within this blog is basically true. You might not agree with the way it's worded but you need to reflect on your own views of what constitutes a puppy miller.

You are a nasty, mean, tough, loud and arrogant guy and were someone to meet you face to face and even intimate that you are actually all this blog has said, without a doubt, you would show your colors and that would set the outcome.

It's 18:30, Tuesday 13 May 2008 and I am watching the clouds open over the foot hills around Doi Suthep and rain on the lush green trees which enclose the villages and homes of the residents living near to Night Safari.

The rain seems to fall as if to wash away the filth, almost as if it had never rained before, trying to wash the pain and suffering of those who shelter there.

Sterling's Puppy Mill, whose entrance is less than a kilometer from the failed tourist attraction, is awash with the deluge from the daily down pour we get here at this time of year and indeed, as if like clock work, at this time of day.

As I look at the rain I wonder about the drops that hit the scotched ground under my feet and think about the puppies at House of Sakorn. I think about the adults and teenagers too, who have only known a life at the mill. I think also about the ones who are now lost, the dead, murdered and dumped. Did they deserve to be born to Sterling's brutality and evil, did they have any choice in their fate. If only this blog had existed 10 years ago, if only there had been a conviction brought against Sterling in a country where his crimes would be suitably addressed. If only, if only, if only...

The rain is now easing, it poured for about half an hour. The frogs have started to croak, sing & moan, the monkeys at Night Safari are starting their calls and the dogs in the villages are exercising their lungs for a few last woofs before turning in for the night.

It's at times like this, with the rain cleansing the air and bringing me such feelings, that I most regret not doing more to help those poor creatures sooner.

Rain is an emotional experience and I hope you are able to share my thoughts.

Your old article written when you were still in America says words to the effect that you are hunkered down just trying to keep yourself and your dogs warm. It really is not fair.

It's very bad what you will do for money. That reminds me, you're doing quite well these days selling so many dogs. I think the USA tax man will be very pleased to get his hands on all the back tax you owe him. Check out the legal situation here with the lawyer you owe money to. Ask him how you stand in the tax paying situation over in Thailand.

A terse letter from a blog reader

Sterling has this fixation that the more famous people who correspond or speak to him the better he and his dogs must be.

The Sir Elton John was a ridiculous claim, - and the outcome so predictable. This 4 seconds of 'fame' with the Clinton's was not worth the mention and now he is at it again.

He does not credit his readers with very much intelligence when, just as he tries to rally round from the latest bashing, yet another titled gent gets a mention and this time writes in to defend Jack's set- up.

Forgive me, Sir Winston Begley, if I have made a mistake but I can't seem to find you listed in the appropriate registers.

I can't help but wonder if you are one and the same family who could no longer care for their Ridgeback and Jack agreed to take it back. No shame on you at all and every credit to Jack, for once, in keeping the dog all this time at his own expense. But you should hear his moaning and complaining about it. I have heard him more than once call you a name which puts some doubt on the virtue of your mother and father. I am sure that, had you known how the poor dog would live out its days in stressful boredom in a cramped cage, you would have thought twice about leaving it behind with the breeder.

Well this email arrived today out of the blue! Seems like Jack is getting to the folks living in Chiang Mai & not just those he messes with when selling his trade.

I am a Chiang Mai resident but do not wish to give my name. The reason is because it is a small city and I would not like a confrontation with this man.

Jack Sterling does not have a pleasant manner and most people try to avoid contact with him. He is loud and scruffy and would easily cause a scene in public. I saw him about 6 months ago almost brawling in a supermarket with another American. Sterling was loud and aggressive with the staff at the meat counter and the second American stepped in.He was taking the side of the shop workers as Sterling was shouting as his meat and bones were not ready for him. Both men were shouting. It was very embarrassing for customers and staff. I just wanted to get away.

I have been here for almost nine years and understand that the Thai people are angry and disgusted when foreigners behave like this. We would be the same if we had to put up with this in our home country.

As for the dreadful crime with the puppy, I have asked my Thai friends and the story is absolutely and completely true.The fine was paid by Jack Sterling. There are many other stories about his brutal and uncaring attitude but nothing seems to have been done by the police. I wonder why. Certainly there has been more than one hanging of dogs, the last was a female, by Sterling at his home.I will spare you the details.

What he forgets is that we are the outsiders and we don't know who knows who. The Thai social structure is like any other.They have cousins and friends scattered all over the surrounding villages.

I know there are puppy 'mills' everywhere these days. It is sickening but at least in a 'developed' country the neglected animals can be confiscated.There are societies in place to deal with these cases.Here, very little is done at present. Perhaps in the early days of dog breeding he was not so bad. I say this as he describes the Puppy Mill with the contempt it deserves.I wonder at what point he became one himself.

When the dislike of a foreigner by the Thai people is so great, as it is with Jack Sterling, it reflects on every other foreigner living here.Even in our small community the news that there is a blogger speaking out against another foreigner is disturbing. I am shocked how often it is mentioned.It seems widespread through all areas of the non-Thai community.

I have now read some of the blog and the man certainly does have to defend himself on every side.

I can't believe that it is all made up. There must be truth in what I have read.He really seems to go through life like a charging bull.

All these women he attacks,does he have to be so crude and use this filthy gutter language? I see that the blogger is female, according to Sterling. I get no strong impression of that.I do get the impression that he dislikes women, so a blogger ( someone against him) must be a woman to him.

In a recent post, on his one man one voice forum, Jack advertises the use of Bark Control Collars.

Dogs bark. That' what dogs do. They also eat, sleep, drink, walk(if out of their prison cell) and of course what goes in, must come out. They poo & pee.

Dogs' bark Jack, unless it escaped your attention, that is what dogs do.

Proudly had the very first litter of Thai Ridgeback puppies on May 19th 1994 in San Francisco, CA. USA. Being the first real hobby breeder in North America, I carefully incorporated three bloodlines to produce Thai Ridgeback Dogs of top quality with no deviation from the standard. I have always been a hobby breeder over 40 years.
Here are some of the definitions of the different kinds of dog people out there. Beware of them and also of those people who love to slander the leaders in any breed new or old.
Here are the Dog Owner's Guide's definitions to help you decide who is who:

[1] The Hobby breeder:
This is the what most dog show and self-respecting people are. A breed fancier who usually has only one breed but may have two; follows a breeding plan in efforts to preserve and protect the breed; produces from none to five litters per year; breeds only when a litter will enhance the breed and the breeding program; raises the puppies with plenty of environmental and human contact; has a contract that protects breeder, dog, and buyer; runs a small, clean kennel; screens breeding stock to eliminate hereditary defects from the breed; works with a breed club or kennel club to promote and protect the breed; and cares that each and every puppy is placed in the best home possible.

[2] The Commercial breeder:
One who usually has several breeds of dogs with profit as the primary motive for existence. The dogs may be healthy or not and the kennel may be clean or not. The dogs are probably not screened for genetic diseases, and the breeding stock is probably not selected for resemblance to the breed standard or for good temperament. Most commercial breeders sell their puppies to pet stores or to brokers who sell to pet stores.

[3] The Puppy Broker:
One who buys puppies from commercial kennels and sells to retail outlets. Brokers ship puppies by the crate-load on airlines or by truckload throughout the country. Brokers must be licensed by USDA and must abide by the shipping regulations in the Animal Welfare Act.

[4] The Buncher:
These people make me sick because they are the ones who collects dogs of unknown origin for sale to laboratories or other bunchers or brokers. Bunchers are considered lower on the evolutionary scale than puppy mill operators, for there is much suspicion that they buy stolen pets, collect pets advertised as "Free to a good home", and adopt unwanted pets from animal shelters for research at veterinary colleges or industrial research laboratories.

[5] The Backyard Breeder:
These are the real idiots in any breed...A dog owner whose pet either gets bred by accident or who breeds on purpose for a variety of reasons. This breeder is usually ignorant of the breed standard, genetics, behavior, and good health practices. A backyard breeder can very easily become a commercial breeder or a puppy mill.

[6] The Puppy Mill:
This a poor excuse of a breeder who produces puppies hand over fist with no breeding program, little attention to puppy placement, and poor health and socialization practices. A puppy mill may or may not be dirty but it is usually overcrowded and the dogs may be neglected or abused because the breeder can't properly handle as many dogs as he has. Puppy mill operators often denigrate hobby breeders and their dogs in attempts to make a sale.

I was born in 1947.. and had my very one dog at 7 in 1955.. I started breeding dosg as my father and his father and his father did since the 1800's. I bred dogs in Germany, London, the USA and now here in northern Thailand. I discovered the Thai Ridgeback Dog in 1994 here in Thailand. James Spratt an American living in London was the first creator of what we called "kibble" dog food today way back in the 1860's..It was done for all the English dogs that were used in the "hunts" that was popular back then. Then later in the 1940's after WWII the bag food processed foods became the norm all across the world.. I prefer the old way of feed the dogs.. the BONE DIET..Raw foods and yes.. less vacines and less processed foods the better. also one day a week to "fast" them at least one to two days a week.. Wild dogs do not eat everyday..only when they are hungry..In today world all over the world we all tend to over feed out animals as well as ourselves. :) BE HAPPY and give your dog a big hug daily.. Jack constantly attacked her for what she wrote about him to warn others not buy from him... I too have been attacked and slandared by Jack for showing people the
truth about him, as have many other good people who are trying to reveal the truth about Jack for the sake of the dogs.
Many of us have wrote and petitioned the animal charties to take action against Jack
but unfortunately while he hides in Thailand these authorities are powerless.
All we can do is make sure as many people as possible see these pictures as they speak for themselves...
I look at the faces of those poor dogs and see thier sadness.
It just makes me so angry thay Jack can make so much money from there misery and suffering.

I contacted him by email and he asked be to join him in gmail and also in skype. The person you are speaking about does not sound like the same person I spoke to over the phone. I asked him about these same issues and what he says is different to what I see here in this message board. I was shocked and surprised by the emails he had forwarded to me from Donna.

Donna, I read your past emails to him as he wanted me to see what you write in private. I could only see a very angry person writing in that way.

Beam, I would not believe any of this negative response from any of these people who post such stuff.. There is no proof of all these claims of abuse and all I got was just the opposite from him.

We will find out soon enough as we will go to Chiang Mai and visit with him and all his dogs this summer on our vacation to Asia.

And lady Carmen who living in UK have bad experiences with mr.Jack directly you can go read it in Thai-ridgeback.co.uk I do not think she has reason to lies because of high vets bills she made and all fed up in TRD breed because 1 person !! Amazing how some folks can focus on the words they want to see.

Just like this individual (if 'Kurtis' really exists outside of Jack's imagination, in the form of the one man one voice ATRA forum) he intimates what wonderful work Sterling is doing to save the breed.

WAKE UP! Jack is in fact destroying the breed.

A puppy mill process is not just cruel to the 90+ (his words) residents at the farm right now as they all need attention, food, socialising, exercise, hygienic surroundings etc but it is cruel to the breed as a whole because the inbreeding that is going on at the mill degenerates the gene pool and degrades the qualities of the bred puppies.

Jack Sterling does not roam the streets of Chiang Mai looking for dumped Thai Ridgebacks to rescue & save. Neither does he take back into his farm any dogs that have previously come from there. He has too many already to feed and the last thing he wants is more unsaleable dogs, dwindling the already low supply of food.

How on earth does anyone outside of Jack's tiny mind think that he saves dogs?

Jack Sterling is still trying to sell Thai Ridgeback puppies in Chiang Mai. They are bred from tired stock with the result that many of his puppies are falling below the internationally recognised standard for the breed.

The majority of the puppies born at the puppy mill since December 2007 have failed to show the distinctive ridge, despite his claims to the contrary and he is being forced to sell or even give these poor quality specimens as pets.

The reality is that he has been generating masses of puppies previously for circulation into the market place for breeding and showing. He literally flooded the market.

He is now voicing that he cannot sell his show quality puppies as this blog has ruined his reputation. He fails to recognise he has been his worst enemy by showing his operation to be the shady puppy mill that it really is, by attempting to cover up the truth.

Erecting high internal fences, repainting his old cages, dumping dogs that waste his resources at local shelters or even killing them to reduce their numbers and burden on his dwindling finances. He was even prosecuted by Thai Police for abusing a puppy which led to it dying. Hanging others from a balcony to die, putting them in the freezer, let alone starving them to death and exposing them to illness due to poor standards of hygiene.

Here is a man (he would say) who cares for the breed and for the dogs.

With some simple statements like these, plainly presented for all to read, the obvious is apparent.

Jack Sterlings' Thai Ridgeback dogs are poor quality, he does not show that he looks after dogs let alone the breed that he is so loud and vociferous about. He has just been on the crest of a wave trying to make a fast buck!

So sorry but some folks just have to take a holiday now and then.

I must say I really enjoyed myself, relaxing under palms, watching coral seas gentle ebb & flow under a pure blue sky. The night's weren't that bad either, it's amazing how many stars you see when eating fresh seafood and sipping on iced water under the beautiful moonlit cloak of night nearer the equator.

Anyway, back to the present and poor old Jack is still in struggle mode, trying to convince the world he is squeaky clean and all his history is a pack of lies thrown together by a bunch of dumb wits that have never really met him or talked with him.

How sad you must be feeling Jack, under the smog of hot, hot, hot Chiang Mai, realising that your past cannot just be wiped away and it's here to haunt you for life.

But Sterling has one friend. Dr Pelapan Ounmee's smelly (too many cats peeing in the shop) is a real dump and the standards of hygiene are worse than Sterlings own, but "Pet Home" or Baan Satliang are only too pleased to do anything for money, as Sterling knows too well.

Firstly lets put the facts straight about your award. We merely placed a link with your site, by completing all the necessary process to to so and your automation judged the blog for an award. Something you should obviously review, if you are unhappy with people advertising your site without proper authorised control.

The use of the words 'rival' & 'slander' are an interesting choice. You perceive that we are competing with Sterling and using false information. The latter infers we operate without facts. This is untrue and our lawyers are our mediators with Thai Police. Evidence does not reach this blog without checking validity first.

Regarding the lack of complaints you base your opinion upon, we suggest you put yourselves in the shoes of a complainant. Firstly, Jack gets to know everything about a buyer before they see the dog. He then spends more than is necessary promoting his care for their future and builds a close liaison with the prospective buyer. This takes the form of email, messenger, web cam, phone etc. When something goes wrong, Jack bites hard and without concern for the buyer but for his reputation. After many of these in the years he has operated, forums and message boards have gone through terrible times with him. Some have banned him and some have increased their moderation overhead. Either way, he is a prolific abuser on line.

If you would like to receive first hand experience of his aggression, try asking him something regarding his conviction.

We are not in competition with Sterling but concerned for the welfare of the dogs he breeds. We were alerted by neighbours of him hanging dogs from trees, left to swing to die, he says because they are old and past their use for breeding. When people looked in his freezer, he had dogs their too, which he stated were put there to die as it was cheaper than a vet fee. When he then caused a puppy to have an infection by not taking proper precautions, he resorted to visit a vet but the puppy died enroute.

We are not the ones involving you in the 'promotion' of a blog. The blog is reporting that you are advertising Sterling as a breeder and prospective buyers are totally unaware of Sterlings treatment of puppies or of his conviction.

If you continue to advertise his name as a recognised breeder, without alerting readers of his background, then unfortunately we will need to act on behalf of the readers of your site, bearing in mind your agreement that we are entitled to free speech.

I just received an email from the Truth Blog regarding Jack Sterling, an infamous puppy miller in the TRD world. Your statement about competition being the root of this issue is utterly ridiculous.

Did you look at the Blog? Did you see the pictures? Did you read the accounts of the people who have obtained puppies from Jack Sterling? How can you just discount this information? I will answer my own question; it is easier for you to call it a lie – therefore, YOU AND YOUR ORAGANIZATON can go on business as usual and do NOTHING!

I am an advertiser on Next Day Pets! I also obtained 2 dogs from Jack Sterling that had multiple serious health conditions on their arrival to me that can be documented by medical records. One of the puppies had to be put down. I know of many people that have even worse experiences than mine. I am insulted at your implication!

After reading your letter to the Blog, I find your customer service skills utterly lacking, not to mention your contempt prior to investigation appalling. You didn’t even sign your name to your letter. I had to state who I was to register this complaint. I was the one that looked like the bad guy. I didn't want to be associated w/a puppy miller, and thought that other people needed to hear the TRUTH.

If you want to support a puppy miller, you are no better than PETLAND! Why should we trust you, I thought your site was a place to EDUCATE people about the BREED, instead of just making money.

If folks do not read and write English, do I assume you immediately fail to trust them? Jack Sterling lives in Thailand, as we do. Thai Police do not write ( or speak ) English in this region.

So now you leave me no alternative but to publish your reluctance to take this matter seriously.

I am sorry that you took offense at my email as it was not my intention to offend you. However, you stated on your blog that you have a "typed up report" from the original hand written report that you allude is not very legible by stating that your copy of the original makes "terrible reading".

I have sent an email to Mr. Sterling. At this point, you do not dictate the official report but give your synopsis of it. I am not able to read Thai and am not able to confirm what is written. There was no official document. If Mr. Sterling claims it says something different than what you claim, we are in a position of not knowing which is true. The document that you provided, does not appear to be an official document, however, I do not know how the authorities handle documentation in Thai.

If you wish to post that we are unable to confirm the validity of the claim against Mr. Sterling, you do have that right.

As an animal law enforcement officer (nationally certified animal cruelty investigator) and an animal advocate for over twenty years, I find it disturbing that you and PuppyFind as a whole, being that you are its representative, show such a nonchalant attitude about a convicted animal abuser and continue to allow him to advertise on your site.

Considering the evidence you have been provided with, you have more than enough probable cause to pull Mr. Sterling's ads while you further investigate. It seems the problem is that you choose to not investigate at all, rather wait for somebody to personally deliver to you the original citation issued to Mr. Sterling along with a translator and law book that spells out what exactly cruelty is.

By continuing to support Mr. Sterling by running his ads, you have demonstrated that you also support the beating and torture of dogs for profit. It is obvious that PuppyFind is no different than Mr. Sterling himself in that you are only concerned with the almighty dollar, regardless of what inhumanities take place behind closed doors to make it.

Shame on you and the organization that you represent. By your actions, you will lose more customers and, more importantly, any credibility that PuppyFind may have once had.

We have not refused to investigate and we were not provided proof of animal
cruelty. I was given a picture of a "typed up report"(per the blog). I did try
to get it translated on my end and was unsuccessful. I did not ask for a law
book, etc. I did say that I was not able to read it and that according to the
blog in question (the only "evidence" I have been given is the blog itself)the
original was hand written and didn't make for "good reading".

I have not been able to find anything in my own investigation. We are a small
company and so a home visit to a seller in Thai is not something we are able to
do. We do rely on reports from regulating agencies, newspaper clippings, police
reports, etc. I also did let the blog owner know that I did send an inquiry to
the seller in question about the synopsis given of the report on the blog.

When I was originally contacted by the blog owner, I did tell them that we would
look into the House of Sakorn, but that the blog itself was not considered proof
of wrong-doing. I did state in my original email that it has been our
experience in the past that blogs and/or forums are not always truthful in their
claims. This has been our experience in the past and I am not contributing this
to the blog in question, however, it is why I am not able to accept just the
blog as proof. It is unfortunate but others have abused this process.

I also did let the blog owner know that those who had purchased from House Of
Sakorn, could leave a review of their experience. According to the blog, there
have been a number of people who have complained about House Of Sakorn dogs. I
did state, however, that our policy on reviews is to ask for proof of purchase.
No one has left a negative review for the seller.

This seller has been utilizing this website since 2003 without history of
complaint, which is highly unusual for a puppymill to have happen. I deal with
the reviews on a daily basis and individuals put up negative reviews for even
minor issues, and we have found and banned many puppymills through this process.
However, the account under Jack Sterling has not received a negative review.

Puppyfind absolutely does not support the torture of dogs and to glean that from
this situation is inappropriate.

I have explained the situation and what we are up against in regards to being
able to ban Mr. Sterling. I had offered the review system to the original blog
owner to be utilized by those that have purchased a puppy from Mr. Sterling and
was not taken up on that offer. We are doing all we can at this time and I am
sorry that you see it differently.

It seems obvious to me that your reply is nothing more than a laundry list of excuses for continuing to help a convicted animal abuser sell puppies. You say that people are able to and should have left a review on your web site. Would you handle things differently if the accusations being made were done so on your web site review instead of the blog? Is that the "proof" you are looking for or would you also tell those people that you do not have enough evidence to pull his advertising?

Did you bother to look at the pictures of Mr. Sterling's facility? Did you not see the dogs stacked in wire cages, emaciated dogs with their bones showing through their skin, and dogs with cuts and sores on them? Is that "not enough evidence" to stop running an advertisement until further investigation has been done and more "evidence" has been collected?

Since I doubt you have a legal dictionary handy, Webster's dictionary defines probably cause as "reasonable grounds for presuming guilt in someone charged with a crime." As an animal law enforcement officer, I can assure you that the evidence that has been submitted to you is sufficient probable cause to take action. If he were in the United States of America it would be enough probable cause to obtain a search warrant. I did not ask you to "ban" Mr. Sterling. I asked that you temporarily remove his advertisements from your web site until you have appropriately looked into the complaints made, whether on a blog or your own web site makes no difference.

Additionally, if the statements being made about Mr. Sterling being convicted of animal abuse were not factual, he would have a case of slander against the person(s) responsible for the blog. He is aware of what is being said and he refuses to respond to anyone, including you, about the allegations. Why is that? Do innocent, upstanding, reputable people just sit back and allow such horrible things to be said about them without a single word to defend themselves?

This is not one disgruntled person trying to get back at somebody. There is a large group of people who are concerned about these dogs and the fact that Mr. Sterling was convicted of abusing a dog, yet you stand behind your excuse of "not enough evidence." Well I stand behind my original statement that PuppyFind is no different than Mr. Sterling himself in that your first priority is money, regardless of what inhumanities take place behind closed doors to make it.

You are allowing, actually helping this man to make profit off of the abuse of animals while you wait for more evidence. You absolutely have the legal right to pull his ads until further investigation has been completed but instead you have taken the easy route by sticking your head in the sand and hoping it will just go away. You may be a "small company" but I would hope you have some kind of connection to a lawyer. Maybe you should have him/her review the complaints and then explain to you that you can and should discontinue your service to Jack Sterling.

Having read various forums discussing how House of Sakorn puppy pedigree's are not worth the paper they are written on, I found a particular thread from a disenchanted recipient of one of Sterlings pups.

After learning from Sterling directly, that the puppy was from a litter on a certain date and from a mother known as Layla (Sterling's Clapton phase) and the father was one named dog, it transpires from Sterlings own website that in fact there were 4 possible fathers of the puppy, as Sterling had messed up his facts to make a good story.

If you are going to lie, you must have a good tongue... otherwise it will speak the truth before your brain tells it what to say.

If you know anything of Jack, you know that his tongue is not connected to his brain all the time.

In case it is not obvious and to save you from reading the rest of this site (blog), Jack Sterling operates a puppy mill in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where until recently he had over 100 teenage & adult dogs that were left over from too many litters and many were not of pet or salable quality. He also had over 40 puppies and their health was priority 1 for Sterling as they are his livelihood, so the adults were forced to go without food, only being fed 2 - 3 times a week.

His factory was reminiscent of a prison with cages stacked row after row and dogs kept inside without essential socialisation and exercise.

Neighbours alerted the police on several occasions regarding dogs left hanging to die in his garden tree and eventually a local animal welfare group managed to motivate the justice system to bring about a charge for a case of cruelty to a puppy which resulted in it's death.

There are no government or other active agencies effectively chasing cruelty cases in Thailand and the organisations that exist in many western countries , RSPCA, ASPCA etc. just do not exist. Legislation in fact is so inadequate that to be caught smoking in a public place, or throwing away a cigarette end, attracts a fine of approximately 60$US. Cruelty to animals attracts a fine of just 30$US.

On 16 January, Jack Sterling pleaded guilty to a charge made against him the previous December and paid the fine of 30$US. (Neither of the advertisers will accept this, despite the posting of the official Thai Police report)

This week he turned 61 and is still intending to operate his puppy mill, just as he has in the USA & now in Thailand for the past 15 years. Of course he will, it's a lucrative business.

And that's where the likes of PuppyFind.com, NextDayPets.com & now PuppySite.com enter this story.Sadly, despite writing & corresponding with PuppyFind.com, NextDayPets.com & now PuppySite.com, regarding Sterling's conviction, each site continues to advertise Jack Sterling - House of Sakorn as a breeder.

These adverts do not advise potential customers of Jack Sterlings conviction for cruelty and other background information which they might wish to know before entering into a life long contract with Jack Sterling, following their initial contact with him.

TRDTruth is not about closing down the puppy breeding market or against breeders. Puppies bred in moderation, by the majority of breeders throughout the world, are not puppy mills. But Jack Sterling is churning out so many puppies and as a consequence, he has flooded & spoiled the market for many other Thai Ridgeback breeders in Thailand & Internationally.

Furthermore, he has caused a more serious problem locally. There are already too many dogs on the streets of Thailand where he is generating many non pet quality dogs that will inevitably end up either being dumped by him at a temple, with a willing vet or just left on a street at night to find it's way in life. In the past, he has even tried dispatching non salable ones as gifts to unsuspecting customers, only to find they have birth defects or other problems they did not buy into when ordering just 1 puppy from him.

If you feel strongly about animal welfare, the future of any dog or the ethics of allowing Jack Sterling to continue to operate a puppy mill, say something, do something, do not just turn away, hoping nobody saw you turning away, to leave the future unchanged.

Jack's not doing much on the forum these days either. It's reduced to non-funny jokes of 2 years ago because he's out of the Thai Ridgeback world now. He's yesterdays man.

All those unplanned litters with poor quality dogs have not helped. But not to worry because on his site he has had a little pat on the back. He has promoted himself from miller to hobby breeder. Nice hobby !

It's not like papa Jack to keep so quiet, so Leung told a couple of the team to have a look around to see what's new. Much better now, Jack. All those heaps of cages are gone but there are also quite a lot of missing dogs too. Where are they now? Jack has the answer but it's not a pretty story, is it, Jack?

We worry because it's not like Jack to be so clean and tidy.

He started improving before the visit of Sabrina but it still was not good enough for the famous super-clean Swiss miss. She cleaned away all the years of filth and we are sure the dogs are happier now. By the way Jack, did you know she was a veterinarian with the Swiss army?

The place got another make-over before Cristel came. Lucky she did not stay too long because Jack can';t keep up the big act for much more than a week.

It's a lot more like a mill than a sewer these days, which is great. But there's still a long way to go before it's acceptable. Jack does not allow visitors to see the concentration camp round the back because they must not see the reality that stares them in the face.

Jack's on a mission. Mission impossible !

His markets have almost dried up and the bad publicity is growing. Too many dogs and not enough 'forever homes'. It's getting tough for the good quality breeders, so just think how bad it is going to be for the ones like Jack who have lost their way because they are only in it for the money. The evidence is on his own site. A hand-full of good dogs bred by other people and a sad list of pet quality mutts. Not much to show for a lifetime 'in dogs'. And it's only going to get worse in the future.

So what lies ahead for poor papa Jack?

Mmm doesn't look too rosy. He's fat and old. That cough can be heard right across the fields. Soon he'll become unsteady on his feet. Mind those steep wooden steps up to 'computerland'. Years of smoking you-know-what have left him unbalanced and his mood swings are getting more noticeable and more frequent. And he's still doing the Thai stuff. Hope it's not a bad batch!

The wizard has lost his magic and nearly all his friends. His landlord really likes him. Oh, yeah! The neighbours do too. They really will miss his cheerful face, his generosity and the long chats when he's fled the area. Even his lawyer has had enough and he's getting paid to listen,- or so he thinks !

Pressure from all sides is sending good old Jack back on the road again. Where this time? It doesn't really matter for now because we'll always be able to find him. The long trail to his front door isn't hard to follow if you've got so many people in this part of the world taking an interest.

Dear readers, it transpires that Jack Sterling has been using puppyfind.com to launder his pups since 2003.

It would seem administrators of puppyfind.com, have reacted to requests from various sources around the globe, that they remove Sterling's adverts from their site, by donning a cloak of denial, flapping in a manner of not knowing quite what to do with this 'Hot Potato' and attempting to prolong the issue by stalling.

How many hits is puppyfind.com getting every day, looking for the ideal pet puppy, hoping to find a healthy and balanced puppy to join their family.

How many of those folks hitting puppyfind.com realise that Jack Sterling, the wizard behind the facade of House of Sakorn, is a puppy miller who has been convicted of cruelty to a puppy, causing it to die. How many of those folks seeking a healthy balanced puppy from puppyfind.com, know the background of Sterling TRD?

If Sterling were operating in America, (answers on a post card regarding why he is no longer?) he would be heavily fined, banned and even imprisoned before now, for what he has managed to get away with in Thailand.

Laws in the home countries of the majority of this blogs readership, are quite different to those found in Thailand. Jack Sterling has just proved the true value of animals as they are considered by Thai legislation. He was fined the maximum penalty, 1,000 baht (approx US$30) on the eve of the Thailand wide smoking ban in public which if enforced is punishable with a 2,000 baht penalty.

Jack Sterling has sold puppies to people living in Thailand but the majority of his business is abroad. America, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, England to name a few. These countries would have locked him up by now if not banning him from being able to even keep a dog. Yet an international organisation such as puppyfind.com is prepared to allow the propagation of his business, whilst living within one of those countries. Ethical?

Well Jessica, you have an ultimatum with you from several parties now. You can withdraw Sterling's adverts or be considered by the world as operating an unethical website, trading puppy milled puppies. (puppymill.com ??)

Great news For sure! The only reason for my breeding 7 litters in 7 years was to tell and show all people about this Thai Ridgeback Dog breed and also about the crooked ways of John Sebasino Capanetto. Finally, after seven long years, he might have been stopped by you folks. All mention of him will be aired on my web site for years to come. I hope we never have to deal with people like John Caponetto and his partner in New Jersey, Thomas "Mick" Michael Latimer. These two guys were the worst thing that could have happened to this breed. I hope only the "right" people now start to mend the damaged cause by these two guys. There are still several people who have started into the TRD world but I hope they are not going down the same path as these two guys did. God Bless all four of you pet owners in your fight to rid the dog world of these people. Now I can really enjoy my pets and hope the new people in this breed will do the right thing!

I was in Thailand and I was about to take that "trip" for both Wavey and Janis as I told my new Thai friends here who had no idea they were with a super stoned 60 year old rock'n'roller..

They pulled out some huge chucks of killer "Thai skunk" and my 60th birthday party was well underway.. The paper proved awesome and my 42 year old bottes of California red CS wine was taken as if it was the last communion... Hey you are only 30 once and only 60 once.. I had two of the best days ever on both days..

One emailer had the following to say:

Monthly Review - Team Meeting

Today at our team meeting, we thought that a summary of the month should be posted on the blog. And I must say we had a jolly good discussion with coffee & cake too.

It was the general consensus that communications with local villagers, shopkeepers in Chiang Mai and surveillance operations were going well. A couple of the team were slightly worried that the blog was not reflecting the numbers of people actually behind the activity but it was agreed that our anonymity should remain for safety of all concerned, especially in the light of recent threats having been made to some people in & around Chiang Mai by Sterling.

The team discussed the statistics of the blog circulation and it was encouraging to hear that in just 4 weeks the number of blog hits had exceeded 1,500, with views from over 134 cities. Although this activity was seen by some readers as slanderous and open to criticism, the value of exposure was seen as an essential asset.

Some readers had also reported that the style of the blog caused for confusion, as many of the posts were quite detailed and detracted from the salient points that other posts made. It was agreed that this would be dealt with shortly, by a redesign of the blog layout.

One of the team reported that airport officials in Chiang Mai were looking out for puppy shipments and another report from a cleaner at Hang Dong Police Station revealed some disturbing news that the team will be pursuing further before reporting to the blog.

Have you noticed that Jack only posts emails that reflect a positive image of his factory and attempt to reflect that people are satisfied with their puppies.

Of course, most puppies are well fed as they are Jack's source of income. He is bound to talk in that smooth and squeaky clean tone whilst selling another 1500 dollar pup. (By the way thats the equivalent of a years salary for a well paid government office worker in Thailand)

The other side of the story however is that the other dogs are in cages for 23 hours a day and their only 'human' contact is with Jack when he bangs on the cages to get the dogs out or he rushes around throwing bowls of slop into the cages for them to eat.

more realistically, does he mean constructed?

This property ( the one shown on his site showing lots of lovely brick and timber with green canopy and fencing ) is a rental property which was an attractive house with a good sized garden in a quiet location.

Now it has high fences all around the perimeter, Jack has turned 'the house that Sakorn built' into a run-down stinking ghetto where it's hard to tell where the house ends and the kennel begins.

To make local residence more angry, he has added internal extra privacy 2 meter high fencing so even visitors to the house cannot see within the factory.

Nobody gets to see the back of the property because he doesn't want any 'snoopers' or' trash-talkers' looking around. All puppies on offer are brought into the front yard. But behind the gates and internal fences is where the horror story unfolds.I bet poor old Sakorn is turning in his grave - but then he's seen Pappa Jack at his worst many times.

Dog droppings lie there for days at a time, water buckets are green and empty, dogs in need of food and attention just don't get it. Why? Daddy Darling is on his websites 'talking' a load of rubbish and trying to defend the indefensible, - himself.

And now his landlord wants him out. How come? Why is everyone so mean to Jack, or is it all in his imagination again?

Echoes from public forums ? Thats the difference about this blog.It is not controlled by Jack Sterling and moderated by him to read in his favor. This blog is letting people speak what they have wanted to say but have been pressured to withhold. This email received from another customer of Jack Sterling. Again it reflects his style of dealing with customers and highlights the disregard he has for dogs and people.

To write this email to the blog must have been very emotional, bringing back the memories of the event and the nightmares of the arguments they had with the supplier of the puppies.

The most important thing about the story I am about to post is that I never made this public before. I wrote a private email to Jack to express my anger and grief. I did not post a public explanation until after Jack called me a “murderer” on his website. After that I have been confronted by Jack’s “Believers.” I use the word “Believer” in almost a religious sense. Despite evidence that comes to light – even with heart-wrenching pictures they refuse to acknowledge or even question any wrong done by this man. Often, it is passed off as “That’s the way Jack is.” This unbelievable ability to stick their heads in the sand can be seen in the postings currently on his website (I usually don’t read anything written by Jack, but I sometimes get things forward to me – especially since the Blog). Here is what happened…

In the spring of 2004 we decided to get a family dog. We had looked at lots of dogs when we came upon the Thai Ridgeback. It was love at first sight for both my husband and I. It seemed that the biggest breeder of TRD on the Internet was Jack Sterling. So I emailed him about getting a show quality blue female TRD. We had several long conversations, most of which, had to do with how certain people were out to get him. However, we got past that enough to cut a deal and make a date for the arrival of my pup. Very close to the travel date, Jack had an inspired idea…he said, by God, he would send me a breeding pair. The male would come for just the cost of shipping! Jack told me Smokey (the male pup) had a temperament to die for and was also the most desired color of the blue for TRD in Thailand. NO & NO! The puppy was black and I am about to tell you about his temperament. He did mention that Smokey was a “little near sighted,” due to a mauling at his kennel. He called the dog, Magoo, after the little old blind cartoon character (do you think he noticed there was a problem?). His vet told him that it was “nerve damage.” Since this was not a genetic issue he would be all right for a breeding partner for Satin (female pup). So the day came and we went to the airport cargo filled with excitement at the thought of getting our new puppies.

The pups arrived from Thailand after a 30 hour trip and all my poor little emaciated Satin wanted to do was jump into my arms and kiss me. On the other hand the male, Smokey, was barking viciously - I thought he was barking at the cargo guys, but I would later find out differently. I put my hand in the kennel and I am convinced the only reason I didn't get bit was because he couldn't see my hand and was so busy barking. Now you have to cut slack to pups that have been on a plane for that long, so I thought he would calm down after he got settled in. So we got them home and let them out of the kennels - at first Smokey was growling and wouldn't come out. When he did he was staggering around bumping into things and nearly fell down some shallow stairs. It became obvious that he was a little worse than "near sighted!" When my sons and husband tried to approach him he would go into a rage - an obvious case of fear aggression. This was a 5 month old pup. He did in fact bite 2 of my sons. Of course my first action was to take them to the vet. My vet has been in practice for 30 plus years. He stated that these were two of the most ill kept pups he had ever seen. Smokey had a little neurological twitch in his eyes and Satin's teeth were brown and deformed. The vet suspected that they had been exposed to distemper! So we were sent to a neurologist - Satin was cleared of distemper. I later found out after questioning Jack Sterling that he had both a parvo and a distemper outbreak in his kennel. Satin had been treated with Tetracycline which causes teeth to become brown and deformed (remember, I had asked for and been charged for a show-quality dog). Jack never mentioned her teeth to me (no genetic connection, all teeth on her litters have been lovely). Smokey, on the other hand, had an MRI and spinal tap to rule out distemper. Both were negative. Then we were sent to an eye doctor. It was costing a lot of money by this time, but I wanted to save this puppy. You see, the only person Smokey trusted was me. I loved him as if he were my sick child. So we went to the eye doctor. With one look in Smokey's eyes, the Dr. said he had congenitally detached retinas and would be completely blind by Christmas (it was March). Further, he would have to have steroid drops put in his eyes 3 times a day for the rest of his life to control the pain. Now, I would have taken care of a blind dog, but the aggression was just becoming worse - it became unpredictable. He also began to attack Satin. I was concerned that as he could see less, the fear aggression would become worse. I feared for the safety of my husband and children. I could not send him to rescue - I would be putting others at risk. The day came when I had to take him to the vet and have him put down. I was his only friend and I had to make that decision. It felt like someone reached in and tore my heart right out of my chest. I left the vet hysterical.

I later found out from friends in the breed that Jack had been trying to pawn Smokey off on other people more experienced than I; they could see that something wasn't right. Jack has bred dogs for 30 years - TRD for 15 and I find it hard to believe that he had no idea that there was something desperately wrong with Smokey. He couldn't sell him so he sent him to me "free." He makes deals like that a lot. As I said, I sent Jack a private e-mail informing him of what happen and his answer was to publicly call me a murderer over the Internet. I would never have made my experience public if he had not done that. He has done this to many people. I have found TRD websites that warn people off getting a puppy from him - with heartbreaking stories similar to mine.

So who's the murderer??? How many dogs has he killed with his greed? Sending sick pups (that died) and aggressive adults that ended up in kill shelters (since the people he sent them to had no idea of how to manage them)? How many people has he traumatized because they had to make a hard decision like I did? No, we should not excuse all this because that’s how Jack is! What I wrote is not slander – this is what happened. I don’t have to use foul language to communicate how I feel about something or someone. This is not the case with Jack Sterling; his abusive language, cruel comments aimed at personal appearance, race, religion are simply apt to cause people to dislike him – cause and effect. People do criticize him about the number of dogs he has and his breeding practices - have been for years, but it’s because it is just common sense that it is impossible for one person to take care of that many dogs! He has admitted this himself! That’s why people call him a puppy miller, his out of control situation is the definition of being just that; raising dogs for financial gain, not giving them the food/medical care/socialization that is necessary (especially for TRD) for them to live as a member in a human family. I just had a litter of 10 and it is another full time job providing what they need. I cannot image trying to manage a situation with 4 or 5 litters on the ground at the same time! I guess the bottom line here is that Jack is not a victim here – he has made his bed himself! Most have seen the “happily ever after emails” posted on Jack’s site. Since he runs the site and has control over the posts, my hope is to balance the issue. If in fact these are people writing and everything has turned out well for them and their dogs, I am really happy for them! Just know that there are some very unhappy customers out there and it could have gone very differently for you. I believe there may be a lot of unhappy customers that are reluctant to tell their story due to the emotional abuse and threats that Jack uses to try and quiet any criticism. Myself, I don’t care what Jack or any of his “people” have to say – I really do just consider the source.

Jack has a lot of knowledge about life and due to his "hobby", his obsessive interest in breeding Thai Ridgebacks, he has a lot of information about the subject.

At this point it is necessary to understand some basic terminology. When someone says they discovered something, they refer to the fact they have discovered as a find or an invention.

The fact of the matter is, Thai Ridgeback dogs have been around an awful long time. Indeed they have been in Thai society for eternity.

I am closing up soon and heading back to America due to family reasons and need to give away all my TRD. Due to my own personal health reasons.. and family reasons I have to see all my dogs placed as soon as possible. All of my RED, BLACK, FAWN and some BLUE TRD are FREE and some are for sale as breeders

All are in need of good homes ASAP..

Guess that means more dogs will meet the sad fate of others if they don' get re-homed soon. Freezer death or.... left to hang in his garden screaming for help.

In case you have come to this party late, here is a review & summary of why this blog exists.

Firstly, Jack Sterling runs a puppy factory in Chiang Mai Thailand where currently there are in excess of 100 dogs including over 40 puppies ( more on the way )that Sterling feeds irregularly, keeps in poor, cramped & confined conditions and the results are that the dogs are institutionalized.

When Jack does business with people, if they disagree or question his practices, they get an ear bashing from "Papa Jack" that appears to continue until the buyer submits and hides away from the world for fear that Jack will hound them down and hassle them again.

Hassle... Communication with Jack is typically by phone, email, forum post, skype, messenger(s) etc etc. So after building a rapport between prospective buyer and Papa, when things turn sour, the community you belonged to before starting the conversation with him gets to see all the dirty washing and Jack ends up throwing his toys out of his pram.

If people think they can deal with that & move on... he will hang on like a Jack Russell and force you to move away from that public community area of the net and hide away from personal attacks. Jack likes to build his image across an open community, asking every one who buys his pups to praise & applaud him and therefore provide credibility to his factory operation. He then fights tooth & nail to hang on to that public face and insult & ridicule anyone who disagrees with his point of view.

In fact Jack is a BULLY. At schools throughout the world bully's are exposed and victims protected.

Unfortunately due to Jack's overpowering personality and persuasive attitude, Jack typically gets the last word as he writes a lot and shouts about what he writes too.

So folks, the purpose of this blog is to expose the poor practices of Jack Sterling and give the opportunity to those who have been hounded & suppressed by him to air their views and opinions without fear that Jack will squash them or humiliate them further.

I heard it from Chad Haney that Jim told that to dave when dave was looking for a different bloodline... But as always no onr realizes the Thai are less than honest and any of you who think you are friends with any one here you are all misled..

Serge is Chinese National and no one i know in Thailand in this breed like him.. Noi si Thai and she is not to be trusted as Pitak has told me many times.. but they all still say hello to each other and all will turn upon TRD day that Noi has pushed for in March.. I have several buyers in bangkok who will go.. i just can't make that sort of time caring for all my TRD.. I am 10 hour drive both ways from that area and the cost to fly and then taxi there is so much to make it not worth my time. I have several friends in the Thai police who like my BLACK TRD male RAY RAY and they will be there..

Good Luck with that BLUE female.. I no BLUES to give away but I have lots of BLACKS and FAWNS for FREE..

The BLACK get eaten here and I need to sere them out of Thailand and the FAWNS are not chosen as a side tray at the local dog eatting restarants.. The Police do nothing about them either.. There are several American and Euro women living here like you will LOVE all breeds and do Thai Dog (of all shapes and sizes of mutts) rescue as well..

In over 150 buyers... only she was the nastiest.

Cathy Combs is not ther person you may think she is.. She is also very two-
faced.. She spits out crap about me be a US ARMY deserter and a child
molester, and that I am running from the law... her stories of slander is all about
one thing.. I SCORNED her in 2002 after I returned with 3 BLUE puppies and my
Thai girl friend Chabaphai.
Those three BLUES went to a LA fireman who was in teh US ARMY as well in the
reserves and he was called up in the spring of 2003 to fight in Iraq.. He gave his
BLUE pup to his family...The other BLUE pup was sent with Cathy to Ohio for Val
Kapp to pick up.. Her husband did this and he reported to me what a nasty
B.I.T.C.H. Cathy was and then the friendship of Valery and Cathy was destroyed
forever once they realized Cathy ripped her off in the shipping of that BLUE pup
called DUKE.. (By the way, DUKE lives with Jeanette Husman now..) The thred
BLUE pup was to be my replacement for my old man SAKORN #1 (who is now 13
years old). I wanted to get back in the breeding of all the colors with my Thai
girlfriends help..I was going to move back to do the TRD in ChiangMai... This was
planned in 1995.. and I was going to try to do it by 2000... well things do not always
go as planned.. I spent the next 5 years traveling the USA and then in 2000 I went
back to ChiangMai to see my beloved Chabaphai... Well, not all stories go
according to plan.. NEVER TRUST ANYONE THAI... is what I was told by many
English guys in 1994...and 1995..I did not listen to them and thought I was in love
with this woman who was playing me for a sucker since day one.. When she
asked me how much money I could get from my parents when they died was
the "straw that broke the camels back".... another American saying about
means...
it was the "last straw"... the one thing that made me realize she was playing
me...within 8 months of my return to Thailand she was demanding to pay all her
bills and debts that she got herself into.. Over $75,000...

of course, I realized what a con most Thai people were by then.. Every TRD Thai
dog breeder tried to "burn" over papers and the quality of the dogs they were
selling..I was raised by good and honest "blue collar" workers in Minnesota in
1940's and 50's.. By 1965, I was on my own after joining the US ARMY..breeding
a litter of GSD in Germany while in the service was my first encounter in the dog
breeding game..Later after my active military
service was over.. I got jobs working as a roadie with top name rock bands of
that era.. I lived in London for almost 10 years.. my 37 year old daughter lives in
London now.. I was introduced to the PHARAOH HOUND in 1969 and fell in love
with this sort of dog over the GSD..(too much hair..) I moved back to America to
do business and make money selling jewelery.. I did that for the next 10 yera and
only watched my 2 PH grow old and die in 1981 and 1994.. Then the Mexican
girlfriend convinced me to get a Chinese SharPei in 1984. I stuck with this breed
for 8 years.. until I saw my first grey colored Mah Lung Ahn at the Rose Hotel in
Krung Tep. (Bangkok)
That is whe I renamed then the TRD...and did a huge promotion at all the rare
breed dog shows in America in 1994. No one did what I did and I did it so i could
go back to my "love" in ChiangMai... HA! what a sucker I was!

Chabphai was the one who had the big phone fight with Serge in 2003 and told
me he was a very bad guy. Pitak said he was no good and so did Poo of 101
Thai Ridgebacks as well.. Khun Lek who does the magazine said the same
about him.. It seems a lot of Thai do not like that guy..het many of them do not like
me either because I flatly tell teh truth and tell everyone to go "F" themselves.. I
really do not like the way the Thai are so two faced as well.. You can never trust a
Thai to do the right thing as they all run from a accident or a fight.. i have seen it
happen so many times..

WE ... the falongs have no rights here at all.. there are two ways and two prices..
the THAI price and way and then the FALONG price and way. both totally
different..You really need to live here to see it and feel it.. Being a guest of
Serge... you would never see that in him or in the Thai.. You really need to see it
as a outsider and not as a TRD breeder.. Serge calls this place a "hole" and
why?? only he knows.. ChiangMai is the place all the people who live in Bangkok
have a second home in..Everyone loves ChiangMai...

Oh, By the way.. Khun Jitti is a Thai Bangkaew breeder.. not a single TRD in his
life..I believe you about Donna.
I do believe she is a HUGE problem and is so incredibly stupid.. She is going to
BREED her SAKORN grandaughter to a mutt looking dog she got from Khun
Noi???and her dog has a real bad DSC..Thai bitch should be
fixed..PERIOD..Why is she so freekin stupid???

Ask any real TRD breeder in Thailand about Khun Noi and they will laugh... and
laugh hard..

Like you said in you last posting about MING contacting you in private..what is
wrong with that??? Then Donna asks you what she did.. NO.. NEVER TRUST a

GINA HAD A VERY COMMON ROUNDWORM... LIKE THE LONG SKINNY WORMS.. SAME AS A FEW PUPS DID AS WELL... VERY COMMON...

That's usually one of the worms killed by the monthly Heart Worm Treatment, unless they're not being treated for it. Now I don't live in Thailand, but I understand that mosquitos do (from research). It kills all worms, except for tape worms (that's a different prescription needed from a vet) and tape worms usually caused by flea infestations, ticks, or the dog eating/killing rabbits etc...

ALL OF THESE WORDS NOT NECESSARY...

As another note...I've been doing rescue for this breed for a long time (six years now), and I've rescued, rehabilitated many a dogs (not just Thais) many different breeds before then. I'll be the first to say, as a self taught behaviorist, you can't save them all. Some dogs like humans are too far gone, (why do you think our prisons are over crowded?). Why do you think 1000's of dogs are put to sleep every year? Ok, there is that fact about too many dogs breeding (I'll give ya that one), but most are put down because they are unrehabable.

NOT IMPORTANT TO THIS ISSUE SO WHY DO YOU GO ON AND ON???

I don't know if you live in a rural farming community; but you know if your dog gets out and kills livestock (regardless of how it got their) it is automatically put to sleep, no if ands or buts; actually most dogs are shot on premises, for just harrassing the livestock.

It is far more humane to put a dog down who has severe health issues than it is to keep the dog alive for our benefit. When you get bit in the face by a rescue Thai Ridgeback maybe you'll see things a little differently.

I made a mistake about the red pup in TN shelter (I got my information from RR rescue, they told me that the dog was dumped by someone who had VA plates). I also remember posting that dog on my petfinder.com website and refering potential adopters your way. I also remember saving you a huge amount of money regarding registering your puppies w/you mentor.

Pressure of persuasion

This statement by someone who has had dealings with Jack Sterling, appears quite similar to many emails the blog receives and if you visit any of his sites or forum, (links on the right side of this blog) you can witness the pressure of persuasion he applies.

Honestly, my first impression of him was not good, but I later started to develop a relationship.. once he sells you a dog, he will continually contact you.and the fact that you love your dog, means he did his job well.and that you should like him.. is that true??? I don't think so..he didn't even breed any of the dogs I got from him.It was me who raised and cared, trained, showed and socialized them..yet he wants the credit..well, he will never get it from me..

Another statement often read.
"When you get a dog from Jack, the problem is that it's not yours, it's still his!"

And the reason I raise this ?? In the last week I have received several emails from people pleading with me to stop the exposure of what really goes on at the Sterling Puppy Mill by writing lengthy paragraphs that read almost identically to Sterlings sites & forum.

The reality is that Sterling has upset many people by continually harassing them to promote his puppy mill product. He has further upset many people by judging others' standards and criticizing them. When engaged in debate, affronted people have spoken their minds and Sterling has spoken his too. He has demanded they withdraw their statements and then attacked some by becoming overly personal & insulting.

His defense, to claims made by customers, is to attack often without sympathy and in forums he is often abusive, crude and to the majority unacceptable. But then when given the opportunity of an innocent ear, he cowers, bleats his squeaky clean story & asks for sympathy.

One woman who tried to stand her ground on a forum was attacked verbally by him after which he posted an extremely crude bondage photograph, of a naked plump woman with her body tied tightly with rope (sexually attractive to some but totally offensive to others), claiming this was the named woman. (I have the evidence to support this and will supply on demand)

He has caused years of grief through lack of respect for people, greed for money and status, as well as running an inhumane production of dogs (inappropriate management of resources, volume of breeding and conditions).

How much suffering the dogs have gone through is unimaginable. We're not talking just about a dog without a chew or toy, a dog without a regular walk or shower. These poor creatures are constantly subjected to abuse & neglect in the form of being institutionalized, poor feeding, cramped and soiled conditions and a lack of appropriate medical treatments.

When innocent readers(people who have not had previous dealings / contact / conversations / troubles etc with Sterling ) see these postings, there is likely to be some element of "Give him another chance" or "Leave him alone, he is trying..."

This message is for everybody who might be interested in owning a Thai Ridgeback Dog. Jack Sterling is the number one breeder of TRD. He is located in Chaing Mai Thailand. After 13 years of breeding, Jack has ended up with too many dogs. He currently has around 50 Thai Ridgeback Dogs that need homes. First impressions - are lasting

Here is an extract from a blog in which two Americans are traveling in Thailand. They happen to meet Jack Sterling on Thanksgiving Day, 2006. Jack Sterling is embarrassing to his fellow Americans, not just the Thai people.

The Animal Kingdom

Our first stop was Chiang Mai, where I promptly blew out my flip flop (no, not from a "pop-top"). Chiang Mai was not really a destination for Vanya and I, but more a stop-over to arrange transportation south, toward the beaches and islands. We arrived approximately 3-4 hours after all of you Americans had just finished eating Thanksgiving Dinner and, amazingly, Vanya and I found a western-style restaurant serving traditional, Thanksgiving Dinners. I finished dinner with two pieces of pumpkin pie, and was promptly put into a food coma. It was during this dinner that we met a guy named Jack.

Jack is a gruff, heavy-set, late 50's-something American guy. We met him because Vanya complimented him on his t-shirt, a Harley Davidson logo entirely in Japanese. This guy was as American as our Thanksgiving dinner, and loud. He talked to Vanya and I throughout the whole dinner, talked and talked and talked, continually explaining to us how he had "lived life." While traveling I try to be as inconspicuous as possible, a "good" traveler, I guess, and here Jack Sterling would yell across the restaurant, repeat whatever he had said loudly whenever he was not at first understood, and continually critique the food as being "microwaved." I felt guilty by association, but he was also a really nice guy. He explained that he had rolled with John Lennon back when, knew Sylvester Stallone, and so on. He had gone to Vietnam and had "come out with two holes in my body," never to go back to the United States. He now breeds Thai Ridgeback dogs, and has 81 of them at his home. After dinner, he showed us around town in his Ford pickup truck, and we rode in the bed.

He was an extreme example, but Vanya and I have met a decent number of "Jack's" in southeast Asia. I would characterize them as this: they are usually older men; they have a southeast asian girlfriend/wife; most are retired; they are irreverent; they have an old-fashioned attitude about women, girlfriends, prostitutes; they are burnt out; they have been away from the U.S. for a long time; they want someone to talk to, especially Americans. This is a broad generalization, obviously. But I have seen a lot of these guys wandering around s.e. Asia

I can tell you when I was in Sylmar, CA in 2002 (September 10th) for ten days, the horrible conditions the dogs were in.

At that time he only had seven adults and a litter of puppies on the ground. There was no carpet, only a concrete floor, where he had ripped up the carpet, but didn't scrape the glue from the floors... there was dirt and dust everywhere. He blamed me for a parvo outbreak at his home while he was away in Thailand.... getting more dogs for people.... blues... because his litter was red and black. He was supposed to pay for my kennel services, but didn't... so I took two pups as payment, both are parvo survivors. Had he been a "real" breeder and told me what the temperament of the breed was really like, I doubt that I would be in the breed today. I had rescued a TRD in 2000; he is my saving grace.... he came from a kill shelter... but he's not like the "typical" TRD. He's great w/other dogs, kids, and not a jealous bone in his body (unlike the majority of the breed).

I think the reason I stuck w/the breed is because they needed my help, and the help of so many people who are now trying to get this man out of the breed, get the dogs taken away from him, so he can do no further damage to the breed.

The breed in the right hands is a wonderful breed, but they shouldn't be sold and bred like rabbits; because they're not for everyone. Anyone who has more than two litters a year is a puppy mill.

He fled to Thailand in 2003 because I had finally had enough of the way he treated his dogs; he had threatend to kill me; made my life a living hell... but I couldn't get the look of the dogs eyes out of my mind; when due to his own mistake a dog fight happened at his home in Sylmar, CA.... I helped him break up the fight, he then took a very large dog bone (cows femur) and proceeded to open crate doors and knock every TRD on the head wether they had been in the fight or not. I was scared for my own safety, that is why it took several months for me to pass my information along to the ASPCA in Los Angeles, CA. It wasn't long after that, that he picked up and moved all of his dogs in Thialand.

I knew the moment I got back from CA and broke the news to a couple who drove down from the north to pick up one of the puppies I brought back for them, that the pup had a Dermoid in the tail... something he "said he told them," but I knew he didn't. I had been in the dog show arena for several years and refused to want to be associated w/him and his scheming practices.

I parted ways and tried to warn others of his practices... unfortunately, there are many like him... who breed dogs for profit, those are his cronies... Jeanette Barnes-Huseman (Sabine Hunter TRDs); Chad Haney (West Coast Trds) and many more.. but they have seen his place first hand; and still decided to breed....

We are a couple from Denmark who Jack has been cheated big..

I´ts a long story whos been going on over 6 months now, with lies and a lot more but to make the story short we only want to say that we agree with the 4 on this site.. I´dont no the facts in the discussion about the female but we know the facts of our own experience. Jack told himselve that the female was sick so Jeanette, why defend it. No female with puppys should look like that, no matter what, and defnetly not because of welping, the issue is that she is sick as Jack said, every dog can get sick off course, but Jacks Crime is a money issue about not doing anything about it for to long a time. Thats terrible to treat any living animal like that and more terruible to defend it..

Our experience with Jack for the last 6 monts, only made us beleave what we hear for sure. Through conections we will do what ever it takes to shut him down for good, as we did with another kennel for the same reason. We are tired of the puppymills who ruins it for everyone else. Jack cheated us for 4.500 euro and we got NOTHING for the money, except for 6 months off lies. If a person defend some one like Jack it tells me more of that person than anything else could do.. Jack told me he whas moving because the neighbour where throwing rocks through his windows and i truly felt sory for him but i think by putting 2 and 2 together know, we can guess what has made the neigbours act like that, if it actually ever happened.We also know why he had to moved .. So dont come here and get so mighty clever.. This is about respect for animal and people and Jack got none of the above...

Jim was brokering dogs form Thailand as well, but honestly, doing it much better. he tried always to find the best and healthy pups for people. Jack couldn't stand him as he was competition now. He had it out for Jim.

So when he posed as a TRD fancier, he asked me, whom should I buy a dog form Jim or Jack, and i tld him, if you want a strati deal, then I would buy a dog form Jim.This sent him over the edge. He contacted me as himself about 10 minutes later and told me that this customer just called him and told him what I said. At this point,I knew it was him.. He has many alias names and email accounts.

Only someone who is completely insecure would do something like this.

As a breeder, seller or business person, how many email and alias names do you have? Are you that paranoid that you need to pretend to be someone and contact people as a spy? No? Me neither...

When he was in NJ, he paired up with a guy named Mick Lattimer. This was in 95. This relationship ended quickly too, and resulted with Mick going on a mission to take him down and have an internet battle with him. I have met Mick and have spoke with a couple people who were old friends of his.

I was told by one individual, that Him and Jack were going to be partners and be the sole importers and breeders in the US.they had big plans together.

Well, in one of their dealings, they were to import 2 pups for Mick, and Mick was to receive them at Newark Airport.

When Mick had went to pick up the pups form the airport, he was told they were already checked out by him... By him??? how can that be..

He later found out jack had went and "stole" them.Mick went to where Jack was staying to claim his dogs. In this short time, Jack manged to get one of the pups disfigured by an adult of his. When Mick demanded the healthy pup, Jack refused him and gave him the dog with its face mauled.

I was also contacted by people here in NJ who told me Jack had sold them 2 older pups/young adults. a male and female. He convinced them to buy them as a pair and told them they needed each other. The dogs ended up being a world of trouble, were very skittish and had fear and dog aggression issues. They called Jack for help and finally to take the dogs back.. This was within a couple weeks time frame and he refused to take the dogs back. He finally took them back but would not issue any refund of money.

When you give jack money, thats it, the deal is final,, it could be the very next day, and he will have a story on how it is spent already, or he bought a dog with it.

His line is" you payed for a dog, you get a dog"

So basically, if you decided you wanted to buy a dog, then for some unknown reason, you realize you don't want it, it don't matter. No money back! period. even if you didn't get the dog yet,no refunds.

How do I know? easy, he did this to a couple from Pennsylvania. They went through a divorce and decided they could not their puppy. This was after paying him a sum of almost $4,300 He kept requesting more money form them for shipping, telling them rates are raised, there were troubles, and he needed more to sort it out. I was told by the dogs owner, word for word" How long have you been dealing with jack? be careful, he is very difficult" Jacks way of helping them, was by having me purchase the dog for $2000, so their loss was only about $2300.

That yelp of "gawd you got me with that big thang!!" Yes.. I types as fast as I could.. He did it he got her "tied" with his THAI thang... I quickly took over 200 fotos of this new mating. The newest TRD litter will be born in the land of the Matterhorn in January 1st to the 6th 2008.

Ask her politely.. in private by email.. after she sells all of her STERLING TRD puppies and maybe then and only then will you possibly understand her motives in dealing with the greatest "Wizard of TRD" ever and not at your silly MSN message boards of slander and mockery..

anyway I know a lot of him as I was once friendly with him before he moved to Thailand. He told me a lot during this time and I witnessed many things.

In the winter of 2004. Jack sold some dogs to Puerto Rico and Maryland.
He sent them to me where I would pick them up at the airport in NJ and help transfer them to their proper owners.

At this time I received 4 pups. One went to Frank Memmo and the other to a Anthony Anastasi.

This dogs came in with a dog for me as well. When we received the dogs, at first they seemed ok, but I knew something was wrong with my black dog.. he was very skinny and had bear spots in his coat.. Later that week, after a vet visit, i found my dog had multiple infections.

He had staph infections and intestinal.

Later that week, I received a call from frank Memmo stating his dog had infections too and pneumonia.

Frank spent almost $2000 trying to heal his dog.
I spent close to $900

Anthony's dog was diagnosed with parvo and distemper and later died along with another dog diagnosed the same who went to Puerto Rico. At this time Jack had an outbreak in his kennel, but he sent out dogs anyway hoping they would be ok and let the new owners deal with it.. he didn't want to lose his deals and puppies as he would need to replace them.

out of the 4 dogs that came in 2 died..

He told Anthony he would replace it, but when Anthony tried to get his replcemet, all he received was hard time.

Jack told him he must wait. Finally when a pup was picked for him, Anthony was eager to get him shipped to him..Jack ended up telling him he could not ship the dog, as he ran it over with his truck..

Jack lied to him, because the puppy was turning into very nice quality, and he wanted to keep it himself.. The same pup was later seen on his site running with other dogs.. he sent Tony a lesser quality dog instead.

Jack also has a tendency , once he received your money, he will start changing the deal on you. he will request more money for shipping, cages, etc..whatever excuse he can come up with to get more money. he puts you in a position, that you must either send more money, or risk losing the money you already sent him.. he has done this many times.

When I purchased my black dog, he raised the price of the dog very high. I then told him I would not get the dog, that I would get a black female instead. He told me the black girl ( bred by a Thai breeder) was a show prospect that the breeder would not sell. Jack had a $1500 deposit form me and he requested another $2500

I sent it as I feared losing my money.He told me this would be the full price and I could get him shipped to the states for that. when it cam time to ship the puppy, he tried to get more money from me.I reminded him of our agreement and he still tried to change it. He had a guy named Miguel form Puerto Rico there helping him.I spoke to Miguel and it was Miguel who payed for the shipping of my puppy as Jack would not.he told me he was buying a few dogs and he would work it out with Jack in their deal..

Later I found the same black female he told that was not available, in a photo on his web site. I confronted him about it and he told me they changes their mind and sold her. I was later told by Miguel, he had every intention of getting her and stated that "she has potential"

He lied to me and raised my price very high so he could buy her for himself.
This dog is now named Black Magic and is still a breeding dog in his kennel.

Jack also applied pedigrees to his dogs as he sees fit. He has mixed up sires and dams, given puppied pedigrees form dogs that are now dead. He does this so he can have pedigrees as many TRD have either false or no pedigree. He has been caught many times doing this, and it took public arguments to get him to change it.

Feeding his dogs every other day has been a practice of his for a very long time. He admitted this to me a long time ago.
